Typical day at work

Ok so I know we all can't be geniuses, but.... Wow! So I work for a computer company and I'm a sales consultant and I ask my customers needs based questions so I can steer them in the right direction. One question I asked was, "Can you tell me the size of your hard drive that was in your previous computer?" The reply I got was " Hold on let me get my tape measure. " Or "I'm looking for a laptop for laptopping" I had no idea laptop was a verb. It's just mind boggling sometimes that these answers come out of people's mouths and it's a serious answer too!!! And this is just my typical day at work!

Just plain weird!

Ok so this is my first real blog about random stuff, the other postings were just of my favorite pieces that I wrote. So I live in a two bedroom apt and in the complex there's a 200+ year old little cemetery. Now I don't know about seeing ghosts and stuff, I do believe to a point that they do exist, after all nothing is impossible. But my cats, especially Jasper, sees them I think. He runs up to the wall chasing nothing then he'll just stare at the ceiling totally immersed in fascination at whatever he's starting at. He'll just stare at the ceiling, the wall our just at nothing at all and he does this call which in cat language means either hello or follow me and he does that with no one in the room which is kinda creepy cuz he usually does that with either me or my fiancee in the room when he wants to hang with us. So I think we have some invisible guests and it's just plain weird to see my cat totally entertained by these invisible guests!

Pretty in Pain

Sittin at the bus stop lying to himself
They didn't really mean it they're just trying to help
Years of being told that he'd never make it far
He'll just add to his collection of emotional scars
Sunglasses on, music blasting in his ears
Keeps his head pointed down so they can't see the tears
Looks at his ticket, his only way out
From the hurt from the pain the unconditional doubt

He left them a letter, a piece of his mind
In a place he knew it'd be easy to find
They all looked at it finally figured it out
Heard it loud and clear as it started to shout

O, Mother O, Father, is this what you brought me here for
O, Father O, Mother, can't do this to me anymore
Just wait right here, I'm getting dressed
Wann look my best, gonna show off this mess
Another cut, a wound and a stain
I'm ready now, looking pretty in pain

Coming home from dinner, out the window she stares
She keeps trying to talk to him but he really doesn't care
He's yelling so loud it starts to hurt her ears
Summons her strength and her courage to just stifle her tears
Pulls up the to the house, she gets out of the car
He grabs her back in, and he pulls her hard
She looks at him can't believe just what he did
All she's seeing is red so she lets him have it

All the things that's never been said
So sick and tired of just feeling dead
Her fists are clenched her lungs are ready
She grabs his face screaming look at me!

Tonight it ends, I can't pretend, that what I'm feeling is alright
I know you can't see what you're doing to me so I'll lead you to the light
Just look right here, wear my heart on my sleeve
Wanna see the truth, it'll set you free
It used to be sunny till you brought in the rain
And now because of you I look pretty in pain

He's doing what he wants he's living his dream
Still can't believe that it's really happening
He goes to the mailbox to send a postcard
And on the back of it he wrote, I made it this far
No phone calls from him no messages to read
Ever since he's been gone it's been easier to breathe
She starts to do something she's not done in a while
She looks at her self and then she starts to smile

Today it begins, this brand new life
Never looking back, never felt so alive
I'm finally free, and you can't hurt me
You're just one of those fading memories
The tables have turned, everything has changed
Now don't you look pretty, pretty in pain.

Three words

I pretend someday it'll end
What are we fighting for
Countless drills sharpens our skills
Everytime we hit the floor
Then one day out on patrol
I met a man soon to be betrothed
Not from my side but just like me
Trying to get home to his family
Sleepless night real men don't cry
Don't wanna be alone anymore
I'm sick and tired down to the wire
Will somebody else fight this war
Then they tell us that it's time to go
This country's good they'll be fine on their own
Pack up my things and wipe my eyes
That's right baby I'm coming home tonight!

Walking the streets riddled with bullets
Taking refuge from despair and fear
Praying to God please help me through this
There's just three words that I want to hear.

Please tell me baby indulge my heart
Do those words remain the same from the very start
Seven years is a long time to be apart
But I need to hear it from you
She said I Love You.

3000 miles to see your smile
Can't wait to get off this plane
It's been too long but now I'm back
And it's never gonna be the same
All the letters you wrote to me I've kept
Telling me you love me as if I'd forget
I wasn't with you by your bedside
Still blew you two kisses before I slept.
I remember the day they called my name
You said baby just come back safe
I was scared inside wiped the tears from your eyes
I promised I'd be back one day
Baby I'm coming back to you
And you answered the door right on cue
Our kisses lasted for a lifetime
Don't worry baby I'm home this time!

Walking the streets riddled with bullets
Taking refuge from despair and fear
Praying to God please help me through this
There's just three words that I want to hear.

Please tell me baby indulge my heart
Do those words remain the same from the very start
Seven years is a long time to be apart
But I need to hear it from you
She said I Love You.

Finally I'm at your bedside
No need to blow you a kiss
No more wishing that I'd be next to you
Doesn't get better than this
Now things are back to the way it should
And I came back like I promised you I would
I'll never leave you no not again
I'm staying here with you until the end
Still can't believe that I'm back home now
It all just seems surreal
Got this chance to do this right
It's time to seal the deal
I remember the day that I met you
Fell into my arms out of the blue
Now I'm asking down on one knee
Please baby will you marry me?

Walking the aisle with a big full smile
Because Our day is finally here
And I thank God that we're both here today
There's just Two words that I want to here

Yes I do take her to be
My wife for all of eternity
I turned to her as she was asked the same
And she answered right on cue
She said I Do

Confession

I wear this facial expression
As my shield of protection
I wear it loudly so they can't
Hear my mind protestin'
Against the angry mob of questions
All fighting to get inside my mind
Like some sort of inqusitive infection
Just waiting for a breath of confession.
Clawing and biting
The fruits of their frustration
But I walk around cloaked in this
Oblivious Creation a twisted meditation
Leaving them all stranded on an island
Built by their own speculation.
I weigh anchor as I sail away staring at them
With eyes as blank as a virgin piece of paper
In hopes of being in a place that could make
Me safer and take me far away
From the maddness of their caper.

Music

Music, The only lving being that is ageless, nameless infamous yet famous.
Often the scapegoat hardly the frameless but how can you blame us
For writing these works of art sometimes tainted but remains stainless.
We never run in circles yet you call us aimless or even brainless
Yet if it we weren't around you'd be saying Who's gonna entertain us?
We go against the grain of keeping the world the same
We'd rather be who we were meant to be instead of Plain Jane
Our music will never fold under the pressure of you like an Origami Crane
We'll flood your ears saturate your souls like a Monsoon Rain
And have you searching for cover like we were the Hurricane
The harmonius satisfaction of our melodic education
Lets us communicate in a musical conversation
Setting free our minds from the confines of contemplation
Through radio waves you'll hear us or see us on your
Local tv station, you can't deny this beautiful creation.
Presented to you by Us, the Musicians, Artists
In every sense of the definition we are the blind man's vision.
We capture the very heart and soul with pinpoint precision
And make an incision to break you out of your narrow minded prison.
