Confession

I wear this facial expression
As my shield of protection
I wear it loudly so they can't
Hear my mind protestin'
Against the angry mob of questions
All fighting to get inside my mind
Like some sort of inqusitive infection
Just waiting for a breath of confession.
Clawing and biting
The fruits of their frustration
But I walk around cloaked in this
Oblivious Creation a twisted meditation
Leaving them all stranded on an island
Built by their own speculation.
I weigh anchor as I sail away staring at them
With eyes as blank as a virgin piece of paper
In hopes of being in a place that could make
Me safer and take me far away
From the maddness of their caper.
